The tutorial will provide an overview of topics relevant to providing QoS for IP-based services in wireless environment. The tutorial will start by describing service provision scenarios, and proceed to defining service quality concepts. After this, issues of importance in providing packet-based services in different wireless environments (GPRS, WCDMA, WLAN) are discussed, followed by a description of ways to implementing and managing QoS. The discussion will be service-centric, but pay attention to challenges and solutions in the technical environment.
