The WCNC Organizing Committee is busy with the final arrangements for next week’s conference.  We look forward to seeing you in Atlanta.  Below is some useful information for your trip.

WEATHER
www.weather.com is reporting daily highs ranging from 62 – 75 degrees and lows between 38 – 52 degrees Fahrenheit.  Rain is predicted on Sunday 21 March.

TRANSPORTATION FROM AIRPORT TO THE WESTIN
To get to the Westin from the airport you can take the airport shuttle for $16, a taxi for around $25, or you can take the MARTA.  (Subway)

MARTA has a rail station right inside Atlanta Hartsfield Airport. This service offers the quickest and most inexpensive way to get to downtown Atlanta's hotels and other hotels all over Fulton and DeKalb counties. The station is located near the baggage claim area, at the North end of the Airport.  The stop for the Westin Peachtree Plaza is Peachtree Center - N1.
MARTA is $1.75 for a one-way fare (no pennies). Tokens and TransCards can be bought at any of MARTA's RideStores, which are located inside stations at Five Points, Lenox, Airport and at the Lindbergh Headquarters building. Tokens can also be purchased from token machines, which are located in all of MARTA's rail stations or at retail outlets in the metro Atlanta area.

WCNC 2004 SESSIONS
All WCNC Sessions will take place on the second level of Building C of the Georgia World Congress Center unless otherwise noted.  The address of the Center is 285 Andrew Young International Boulevard.  Full feature map of downtown Atlanta

WCNC BADGES AND TICKETS
WCNC Badges must be worn at all times and are necessary for admittance to all WCNC Sessions, shuttle buses, CTIA WIRELESS Keynotes, and the Exhibit Floor. You must wear your name badge at all times while in the Georgia World Congress Center.

WCNC 2004 TUTORIALS
On-Site registration is available for all WCNC Tutorials.  Full and Half Day Tutorials are being held on Sunday 21 March.  www.wcnc.org for more information

SHUTTLE BUSES
WCNC/CTIA Shuttle Buses will depart and return from the Westin Curbside on Spring Street. Shuttles will pick-up and drop off at the Building B International Boulevard Entrance which is the main entrance to the Convention Center.  Hours of Operation

WCNC is not providing shuttle bus service on Sunday 21 March or after 11:00 on Thursday 25 March.  If you have accessibility needs please send an email to wcnc2004@comsoc.org or stop by the WCNC Office in room C213 of the convention center.

SPEAKER’S BREAKFAST
Tuesday ­- Thursday a speaker’s breakfast will be held in Augusta I-III of the Westin Peachtree Center, 210 Peachtree Street, NW,  from 7:00 – 8:00 All Technical Sessions and BAS  speakers should attend on the morning of their presentation. Please sit with the session chair and authors of your session. 

BUSINESS CENTER
Kinkos - Two full-service business centers, one located in the International Blvd. Entrance Concourse (access to Buildings A/B) and the other in the Northside Drive Entrance Concourse (access to Building C), offer you copying, faxing, scanning, printing, as well as computer access, a notary and UPS/Federal Express/U.S. Mail delivery.


WIRELESS LAN ACCESS
WCNC is arranging for complimentary WiFi access in the WCNC Area in building C of the convention center
Wi-Fi Internet Access for building B of the Georgia World Congress Center is still being finalized by CTIA
Neither WCNC or CTIA does not guarantee Wi-Fi coverage.

SPEAKER REHEARSAL ROOM
Room 212 of the Convention Center will be equipped with an LCD projector, Overhead Projector Screen and may be used to review or rehearse your presentations. The room will be open Sunday ­ Thursday during the hours of the conference.

STUDENT TRAVEL GRANT CHECKS
Student Travel Grant Checks will be distributed at the Speakers Breakfast on the day of your presentation.  If you do not receive your check at the speakers breakfast please pick it up in the WCNC Office located in room 213.

WCNC NETWORKING AM/PM BREAKS
Networking AM/PM Breaks will be in the lobby of the WCNC Meeting Area.

RESTAURANTS AND REFRESHMENTS
Within the GWCC, there are 20 permanent facilities including concession stands, Pizza Hut outlets, express cafes, and cafeteria-style dining, as well as The Terraces, a 380-seat, fine dining restaurant and lounge. In addition, there are numerous specialty food carts throughout the building.

WCNC HEADQUARTERS OFFICE
Persons who need to talk to a specific IEEE staff person or who has questions should go to the WCNC headquarters Show Office located in Room 213.
